My name is Nelie Bautista, from Bontoc, Southern Leyte, Philippines, and I have been working in Singapore since 2012. My life began to change when I joined Uplifters’ Dare to Dream course in 2019. As a single parent and breadwinner, I learned to become more mindful with my finances and built my dream board — owning land, building a house, preparing for retirement, and giving my child a good education. The journey was never easy, but I kept reminding myself that no one else could make my dreams come true except me. Today, I am proud to say those dreams have become reality — my child graduated and secured a job, and I now own my own house and land. Uplifters taught me that dreams become possible when supported by discipline, purpose, and consistent action.
