Our people

Uplifters is built and run by its community. Migrant domestic workers move from learners to leaders, and many of the people who design, deliver, and govern our work began as students.

Governance

Board of Directors

Our Board provides governance and oversight. Uplifters operates two registered entities, in Hong Kong and Singapore, with a shared mission. Three directors serve on both boards.

Our Core Team runs the organisation day to day. It brings together our staff and our Mentors, who are programme alumni. Mentors are shown in their own section below.

Mentors

Mentors are our most experienced and committed leaders, selected from our Diamond Team Leaders. They support our Team Leaders and advise staff on how to develop our programmes. All are Uplifters alumni and migrant domestic workers themselves.

Team Leaders

Team Leaders are Uplifters alumni who give their time to guide new students. Each leads a group of learners through a course. Gold Team Leaders have facilitated at least five sessions; Diamond Team Leaders at least ten.
