Your mission: Execute Uplifters’ community engagement, outreach, and partnership efforts to multiply our learner base by five within three years.
Full-time position, or option for 4 days a week, including two half-days on Sundays per month. Based in Hong Kong. The responsibilities will be adjusted depending on the number of working hours.
This role:
This is the person who makes things happen on the ground in Hong Kong. Open houses, peer leadership trainings, club in-person meet-ups and outreach events; you make sure they run well, that people are where they need to be, and that everything arrives.
You report to two managers: our Programmes Manager, for programmes and community work, and our Marketing and Partnerships Manager, for outreach.
Most of our community is free on Sundays, so that is when much of this role happens.
About us
Uplifters (www.uplifters-edu.org) is an award-winning charity dedicated to empowering migrant domestic workers to succeed in their migration.
Founded in Hong Kong in 2018 and in Singapore in 2024, we have supported more than 11,000 migrant domestic workers globally through our flagship free online financial literacy and well-being course, Dare to Dream.
Our suite of courses covers economic empowerment (e.g., loans and scams awareness, budgeting, future planning, micro-entrepreneurship), emotional and physical well-being, and domestic work-related skills (e.g., relationships with employers, caregiving), using simple, accessible language.
We are deeply community-led, with alumni forming part of our core team.

HOW WE WORK
Empowerment
Empowerment is at the core of everything we do. We aim to create fulfilling learning experiences and a global movement of people committed to uplifting others while growing personally. We focus on strengths and opportunities for change, without denying real challenges. We reject victimising narratives and work to shift how underprivileged communities are perceived—by others and by themselves.
Courage
We draw strength from the courage of migrant domestic workers who leave their homes, families, and countries to build a better future. We dare to try. We are not afraid to do things differently, even when success is not guaranteed. We accept mistakes as part of learning, reflect on what doesn’t work, and adapt rather than repeat. Courage means questioning ourselves, listening to feedback, and continuing to move forward together.
Care
We are here for each other. We bring people together and make sure no one feels alone. We create safe spaces where everyone belongs, is respected, and matters. We show up in good times and difficult moments—like a family far from home.
You can expect
- Purpose-driven work with visible impact
- A collaborative, values-led team culture
- Autonomy, ownership, and room to grow
- A meaningful role contributing to systemic change
