This course was born from the COVID-19 pandemic, where more people understand that looking after your mind matters as much as looking after your body. This course helps migrant domestic workers understand what mental health is, and shows that feelings like anxiety, stress, and loneliness are normal and nothing to be ashamed of. It gives practical tools to manage your emotions and keep a healthy mind, including self-care habits, sleep, and diet.
You also learn how good communication helps your mental health, and how to share your needs and feelings with your employer and your family, including your children. The course teaches you how to support a fellow worker who is struggling, and points to mental health services available. The course is available in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
