Many migrant domestic workers leave home to give their families a better life, but often without the honest, practical talks about money before they leave. Without these conversations, families back home expect more money to be received than the worker can really send home, and this pressure can push workers into (illegal) debt or scams. This course helps fill that specific gap: preparing workers and their families to agree on realistic goals and expectations before migration begins.

The course helps you talk openly with your family about money, so everyone agrees on realistic goals from the start. It also covers today’s digital risks: illegal online loans and scams so you can make safer decisions. When you are in control of your own decisions around money and know how to protect yourself from scams, it helps your employer too, since it lowers the risk of debt collectors or financial stress affecting your work.
