Give today to uplift a SuperMom and her children!
As we celebrate Mother’s Day this month, let’s take a moment to acknowledge the sacrifices of the incredible migrant domestic workers.
In Hong Kong and Singapore alone, there are over half a million migrant domestic workers. The majority are mothers who made the difficult decision to leave their young children behind and work overseas, hoping to create a brighter future for them.
But despite their sacrifices and crucial contributions to our societies and economies, most migrant domestic workers fail to make their migration successful, and some even return home financially worse off than they arrived. They are victims of unethical migration corridors, precarious jobs and experience high financial pressure from their relatives back home. These challenges are compounded by little financial education that makes them prone to falling into vicious debt-cycles and investment scams. The distance also has a negative emotional impact on themselves and their children.
At Uplifters, we are committed to helping these SuperMoms make their migration successful. Uplifters free online courses aim to equip migrant mothers with the essential skills and support required to manage their money well and maintain a strong, loving and successful relationship with their children despite the distance.
Together, we can uplift these incredible supermoms!
