Uplifters attended a breakfast hosted by the EU Office to HK and Macao, the Consulate General of Belgium, and OIM – ONU Migration to discuss migrant domestic workers’ rights

Uplifters is grateful to have been invited to a breakfast hosted by the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, the Consulate General of Belgium, and OIM – ONU Migration on 13th of July 2025 to discuss migrant domestic workers’ rights. It was inspiring to hear from Dr. Madhu Neupane Bastola, who shared her important research on cancer communication.
Migrant domestic workers face unique challenges living where they work, and illnesses like cancer require sensitive communication and a firm understanding of rights for both employers and employees.
